Ellen Idler is the Professor and Chair of the Department of Sociology at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She is also a member of the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research. Her books include Cohesiveness and Coherence: Religion and the Health of the Elderly (1994) and The Hidden Health Care System (1981). She is best-known for her work on the effect of subjective health perceptions on mortality and disability in elderly populations.
The title of this lecture is, "Religion and Health to the End of Life."
